Hansen — A Name with a Maritime Legacy

The Hansen name originates in Flensburg, a seaport steeped in centuries of shipping and overseas trade. Flensburg’s role as an import port — especially for cane sugar from Danish colonies — helped shape its reputation as the “Rum City.” Surrounding the harbour, many ship outfitters once operated — such as Schiffshandlung Jepsen or H. P. Thomsen — ensuring vessels were supplied with provisions and nautical equipment.

In this tradition, we see ourselves as a dependable service partner for shipping and port operations. Our focus is always on premium quality and rapid availability to live up to the high expectations of our clients.

Dennis Hansen, owner and maritime business manager, leads the company. He completed a professional apprenticeship in shipping operations focusing on tramp shipping, and furthered his studies in business administration in Flensburg, Denmark, and the USA. After working in a renowned shipping company in Hamburg and in ship supplying and bunkering, he embarked on founding his own outfitting business.

Today, based inland in Recke by the Mittelland Canal, we serve clients across Europe. We supply essential equipment for sea and inland vessels, yachts, ports, hydraulic and industrial sectors.
